When you are a special effect makeup artist, you have to develop your skills by practicing on people that are kind enough to accept to be your model… well, sometimes they are chosen by me to volunteer and this is how it goes when you are published in a local newspaper!
Here is one of our Pandemic Doctors that was ready to scare.
This actor worked in our Midway and loved playing with the blood throughout the night, using it to mesh into his hair he truly embraced his Asylum persona.
The best part of the whole experience was all the fun my daughter and family had helping me learn new mediums and new techniques. My blobette (above) would go with me on special trips for supplies.
My friend, Janet helping me work on my clown makeup. We had a blast coming up with new ideas and concepts to scare people.
After a hard night, time to go home!
One of my absolute favorite clowns to do makeup for. Getting to see the actors in their elements was always amazing and gave us a chance to see our work in action.
This young lady always had a smile and always was up for any idea I had for her Asylum characters. She was always a joy to work with.
And this is how we roll in the special effect makeup world!
