Are you ready to know what happened to Frankie the moment she was left in charge of the LSS Slicer? Well, our very own Kendra Hale read an advanced copy and here what she had to say! “Make it so!” Oops, wrong franchise!
Long Live The Pharaohs
When last we left poor Frankie her world was torn completely asunder and she had lost the love she had found among the cosmos. Don’t get this story wrong though.

Angels Are Dreadful Warriors, No More, No Less
What Under Animus proves in absolute droves, is that Frankie has just scratched the surface of who Jason Caldwell is, what her place in the war is, and with no way to tell who she can trust.
Frankie has started her journey through trying to accept what fate has set before her. Let us dive a bit further into this review.
While yes, romance does play a part in Wayne’s first novel, her second breaks all the way through that box and brings us action, fast pacing, betrayal, time loops, clones and more.
With her taking place as Captain of the ship now known as Slicer, her mission has become clear. She is on a mission to save Jason from those who have stolen him.

Frankie makes new allies and racks up the list of enemies in this addition to the Frankenstein story. Along with her crew they find that all is certainly not what it seems with the war.
There are secret alliances being made and double agents form on all sides of the galaxy, proving the adage that all is truly fair in love and war.
The Cutthroat To All Ships
Alexa Wayne knocks sci-fi for a curve ball with this addition to her series. She accomplishes not only creating layers to her characters but also to her galaxy. She has succeeded in giving readers an action packed space fight where no one and nothing is safe.

Along the way she learns that what everyone has said about Jason…just might be true. But the web is so much more tangled than that as even time itself is up for debate.
With The Rakes, The Alliance, even Liberty coming into play she gives readers all the information they need to know. Frankie is a fully realized character who we have gotten not only to relate to but watched her growth through all the turmoil the cosmos have thrown at her.

Between Frankie and the rag tag group of bad asses that the Slicer has at her helm we get not only a good flow to learn more about the mysteries of Frankie and the Grey, more about Jason Caldwell, and more at just what is at the heart of this book.
Off To Neverland
One of my favorite parts of reading Alexa’s work is the references and attention to detail that she puts into her work. There is a moment where the crew are ready to face what is to come and they begin singing a very well known song.

Though to be fair I also have a favorite relationship and that is the sisterhood between Frankie and Helle Madsen, I am biased in that regard though.
There is literally something for every genre fan in her writing and to classify it as just one genre really seems a disservice when she slips through the streams of many to bring her readers a thrill seeking, heart-wrenching, blood pumping tale that leaves this reader drooling for more…especially with the cliffhanger that caused my eyes to widen.

This is a definite recommended read and I rate it a 5 out of 5, easily. If you are a fan of any series or novels that features the stars and the possibilities out there like Star Trek, Alien, I will even give it shades of Star Wars…this is for you. You will not regret it.
