Gothic Bite Magazine is proud to promote the art of various indie artists from all around the world. After her submission, GBM now shares the work of photographer Meagan Lamontine!
Meagan Lamontine’s Story
Photography and art have been my passions since I can remember. I have always had a camera with me.
I started with disposable film cameras, moved to a simple point and shoot and finally onto a DSLR. I started taking professional photos in 2010.
Concert photography is what first got me into the world of professional photography. I had many fantastic opportunities to see bands and venues I wouldn’t have had a chance to otherwise.
I did that for a couple years but have since transitioned my focus to portrait photography. I love the creativity and ability to express ideas through photography.
The Passion of Photography
The creative side of photography is what fuels my passion.
I love seeing ideas come to life before my eyes and sharing the end results with the models I work with.
The Gothic Photo
Artistic collaboration is crucial to me and my work. I have always loved the darker side of things.
There is so much beauty in the dark, strange, and unusual. I love the art, music, fashion, and overall aesthetic of the goth culture.
I think the culture has a unique perspective on the world, and I have always related to that.
I feel like gothic is more than just wearing dark clothes, it’s the way one views the world and where one finds beauty.
